Andreas Oertel is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He has written numerous short stories, as well as the following books for tweens:

His books have been critically acclaimed, nominated for several awards, and often appear on bestsellers lists. Andreas is a member of the Manitoba Writers’ Guild, the Writers’ Union of Canada, and the Canadian Children’s Book Centre.
Andreas spends much of his free time doing school and library visits. He was asked in 2012 to be Writer in Residence at Centennial School in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.
