Brenda Sciberras is a Winnipeg writer whose poetry has appeared in several Canadian literary magazines as well the anthologies; A Cross Sections: New Manitoba Writing and I found it at the movies: An Anthology of Film Poems. Her first poetry collection Magpie Days was launched with Turnstone Press in fall 2014 and won the Eileen McTavish Sykes Award for Best First Book 2015. Brenda was also nominated for the John Hirsch Award for Most Promising Manitoba Writer 2015. Brenda is the Manitoba representative for the League of Canadian Poets.
